It's not just about being qualified, we're looking for people that have something special:
You must have a friendly, smiling face! We want people that have a magical ability to make everyone feel welcome. We have a lot of parents, carers, and children that walk through our doors, and it's important they leave with a warm and fuzzy feeling in their hearts.
You have the ability to be able to switch from a princess to a pirate and back again during one storytime session. Whether you have experience in the theatre or not, at Early Steps you'll soon become a fantastic actor!
You become a wizard as soon as you get potions from our cleaning cupboard. Children are messy, and you find muddy marks and stains on your clothes and around the nursery throughout the day, so knowing how to keep things as clean as possible to combat this is a must!
You must be prepared to have a lot of fun in the workplace! Laughter is something that you will hear throughout our nursery, so even if you have an embarrassing laugh be prepared to embrace it when you become a member of our team.
Enhanced Resources-charges for funded places
We offer our places with an Enhanced Resource charge for the many services that we offer you over and above those that we are required to provide in the EYFS.
The ‘Enhanced Resources Charge’ shown in the fees includes the following:
Breakfast, a hot, healthy, freshly cooked lunch prepared daily, light teas and snacks
Additional extras - As part of our enhanced resource charge we include the following items with no additional cost:- This list is not exhaustive and may change
Non-food consumables
Care package – Nappies, wipes, sun-cream, emergency medication e.g. paracetamol/ antihistamine
Other activities
Parent partnership events
Outings package-Additional ratios on outings & visits
Extra-curricular visitors to the nursery i.e Rhythm time, Yoga, little kickers, French
Parties and celebration days
Gifts children take home
Voluntary Enhanced Resources charges-
We have two fully funded places at any one time, whereby no Enhanced resources charges will apply. These spaces are subject to availability.
If you are unable/unwilling to pay for the enhanced resources on funded contracts, we request that you speak with the Nursery Manager to discuss alternate options. Please see extras charges for individual prices of enhanced resources

Food can only be purchased based on your session – i.e AM session provides breakfast and lunch – you cannot just purchase lunch, only you have to purchase breakfast/ snack/lunch
All enhanced resources are charged even in the event of absences. No refund will be given

Minimum Session Requirements
Up to 11.17/22.35 hours funded stretched (51 weeks) must be taken over a minimum of 4 sessions across minimum 2 days
For Early Learning for Two’s 11.17 hours stretched funding or Universal 11.17 hours stretched (51 weeks per year) funding only, this can be taken over a minimum of two sessions across two days.
